Buyer abuses return policy, constantly returns damaged items. How to get rid of this buyer?
Hi,
So I noticed one buyer constantly returning damaged items (food supplements).
So far 3 FBA orders returned, all with disposition: “Customer Damaged” and return reason “The product is not compatible with my existing system”.
Now got email that he is returning one more item…
What can be done to stop him from buying?
Also, is it possible to get reimbursement from amazon in this case?

We’ve had the same with a buyer in Spain and in UK. Amazon keep letting it happen again and again and again and are happy to keep their fees and keep allowing the purchase then return of the same item over and over again. We have stopped selling these items at FBA.

You could report a Buyer Violation, but unlikley to do any good.
You could message the Buyer, ask if you can assist as you note sending back lots of items.
Try and claim on FBA, but good luck on that one!

Yup, we have lots of scammers…and Amazon let them get away with it. Regardless whether its FBA or FBM…scammers always find a way to beat the system. So sick of it.
We have tonnes of FBA returns…we’ve recalled some to inspect…and it’s obvious returns are not checked. Think about it, why would they?

Tell him, tactfully, that your products are not suitable for him ; then cancel the order yourself !

Main problem is that Amazon approves refund as soon as buyer drop off return with courier or drop off point. This is completely wrong, no shop approve refund until they physically received item back and check that it is in condition as sold. For FBS refund should be issued when seller confirms returned item is ok! eBay is much better in this. Where is logic? How can you give refund to somebody who did not deliver your item back yet?

This Could also be a competitor doing this, to reduce your profit margins. As you will also pay the return shipping. Just a thought!!

We have absolutely the same problem. Amazon should do something about it (let sellers block this kind ob buyers - thieves), but I doubt it. Customer is a king, even if a he is a thief.

I believe we deserve to have an option to block some buyers from buying our goods, so we could at least protect our business from the biggest scammers.
