Failure to Disburse Funds
Hello,
Amazon contacted me 24 hours ago with this email :
Your most recent transfer in the amount of XXX was not successfully deposited into your bank account on file ending in XXX. The transfer of funds was not successful due to incorrect routing number. The funds were returned to us and we have removed the current bank account information from your seller account. To receive funds you will need to update your bank account information by following these instructions:
- Log in to your seller account and go to your seller account information page.
- In the Deposit Method section, click Edit.
- Update your account with a valid bank account and routing number.
Your funds will be deposited in the updated bank account on the next scheduled transfer date.
Thank you for selling on Amazon.

I believe this is automatic msg but why is this happening ? I’ve been working with very same bank account for 1 year. I dont think that my bank (UK based) changed anything by their side because all my details are the same. Until yesterday all my Amazon payments were perfect, without any issues.
Do you think its by mistake/glitch in their system ? Is it good idea to write them a ticket ? I added again same bank account after their email yesterday and hope it was by mistake but I will appreciate if somebody share his/her experience.
Just to add : There was no changes to my sort code / acc. number .
Im paying without any issues all day using my card.
Thank you !

This appears to be a technical or site-wide issue as other sellers are reporting the same problem as well, I would advise you to check the linked threads:
Hopefully, it will get fixed soon.

It must be due to Brexit and not a techy wide issue…
Or perhaps the Charging Method bank account is out of cash? So then the smiley Amzn people who fund Space Travel will hold your ££ and claim they can’t take the pre-authorisation £1 to disburse the funds?
