Starting to Sell Amazon US Product in Amazon UK - Reviews?
Hi all!
Hope you are all doing well and sales are strong :). I’ve been selling on Amazon US since 2017. I have decided to broaden my horizons and start to sell my private label products on the UK market. I have a few questions in doing so.
- Is there an easy way to create the listing since it already exists and I want to use the same description, images etc? I tried searching for the ASIN but couldn’t find it.
- Will my reviews from the US product page apppear on my new UK product page?
- Will the Amazon Barcode which i use in the US be the same for the UK product?

You should be able to create listings using the same ASINs. In such case, it is very likely that Amazon will automatically transfer the US reviews to your new UK listings. However, you can’t influence whether this happens.
Regarding FNSKU barcodes, you will need to try this as I don’t sell the same items FBA both in Europe and the USA so I can’t check it.

A couple of things you will need to take into account if you are selling from the US on the UK site.

If you are fulfilling orders from the US, your price will need to include any applicable import duty and other taxes.

if you send stock to an Amazon FBA warehouse in the UK, not only will you have to pay any import duty on the consignment, you will also need to register for VAT with HMRC (the UK tax collecting agency). If VAT is applicable to the items you sell, you will be responsible for collecting the VAT on each transaction and paying it to HMRC.

US reviews would never be transferred to the UK market because the markets are completely different sizes. Amazon doesn’t do this because if they did then anyone creating a listing from a US listing would completely blow out any UK competitor out of the water in terms of number of reviews. That would be unfair competition and would probably raise eyebrows at the legal/government level.
