Sponsored Ads not working

I added some new products to Amazon’s catalog about 2 weeks ago now. Sent the stock to FBA, and it’s all been checked in and showing as available.

I also set up campaigns for the new products (mimicking the settings of campaigns I already have that work), and nothing. I have a £2.50 per day budget for each campaign. The ones that work run out of budget by about 8pm. But these new campaigns just aren’t working. The total spend on the one campaign since I started it 2 weeks ago is £0.79 , and £2.46 on the other one.

These are products in popular categories with fairly high search volumes, but even when I search for specific words in the titles they don’t show up, not even as sponsored or featured products.

Is it likely I have missed something in the settings? How can I make these work better?

I would sincerely appreciate any advice.

Hi Lumen. Two things seem likely the issue here. 1st is your daily budget is too low. Amazon recommend £25 for a campaign to run across the day. Your cost per click (CPC) is likely too low. It should give you a recommended bid. This is a suggestion only but if your bidding say 10p a click and someone else is bidding 50p and they have a budget to run all day Amazon will just show their adverts and not yours…

If your campaigns aren’t working, I would advise you to ensure that the ASINs aren’t search suppressed as a result of their non-compliance with Amazon’s Detail Page Rules and Product Title Guidelines:

  1. The title exceeds 200 characters, including spaces.

  2. The title contains promotional phrases, such as “free shipping”, “100% quality guaranteed”.

  3. The title contains characters for decoration, such as ~ ! * $ ? _ ~ { } # < > | * ; ^ ¬ ¦

  4. The title contains no product-identifying information, such as “hiking boots” or “umbrella”.

For further feedback, I would recommend you to post the ASINs.
