How to re-submit documents for verification after your UK account has been deactivated

A few months ago we were asked to submit documents for UK VAT status verification. We had everything accepted other than a stamped and signed bank statement. It has taken us a long time to get this document, but we now have it in hand, however we don't know where to submit it. We keep hitting dead ends and people saying it's another team we need to submit to.

Has anybody here successfully overcome this and been able to re-varify their UK account? What is the process?
