Provide valid Global Trade Item Numbers (GTINs) for all product listings

Hi,

I’ve just received the email referred to in here: Provide Valid GTINs Issue

When I go to the FixYourProducts page, the first 3-4 times it threw an error but now it goes in and the only things listed are “Out of stock”. These are where I have sold second-hand books and a few other things.

Am I supposed to delete items from my inventory when I have sold out and don’t intend to restock?

Thanks!

We received this email today as well. We have a GTIN exemption for the products we manufacture, which is most, but we have some lines we purchase in.

I was worried that there may be an error with our exemption, and am hoping it’s for one or more of the other product lines. Since there wasn’t anything on the fix your products page I’ve opened a case that has been transferred, so if I get a reply I’ll post it up here.

Here was the response:

"Hello from Amazon Selling Partner Support,

I understand that you have concern regarding Global Trade Item Numbers (GTINs) on all product listings

Please note, upon checking all the marketplace in your selling account, i see that there are no listing present on the “Fix Your Products page”.

However, i would suggest/request you to kindly check for the same for all the marketplace.

Kindly note, that if there’s no listing issue present, then you would have received that notification in error. Please do not worry about it.

Your understanding and co-operation in this regard is appreciated.

You have received this message because you were copied on the correspondence about this case by the person in your company who opened it. Although this case has been resolved by our support team, if you have questions about this issue, it may be helpful to bring them to the attention of the person who opened the case. If further assistance is needed, please ask this person to reopen this case and we will be glad to continue to provide assistance. Thank you for choosing Amazon.co.uk.

Thank you for selling with Amazon."

Since we only have listings on .co.uk it seems we’ve ‘received it in error’ as @The_Little_Shop has experienced as well.

I’d guess it’s the same for you, OP.

I have received this email a couple of times and a few weeks later the products appear in the Fix your product pages.

If nothing is in there currently don’t worry but check back about once a week to see if there is anything added in the ‘At Risk’ section.

I have had to get rid of a couple of good sellers as Amazon just don’t take any evidence I give them. They normally want a GS1 certificate and licensing agreement from the manufacturer. Distributors don’t have this information so it is often a waste of timing asking them. There are a couple of manufacturers I deal with directly and one of them said they will supply this type of information if required.
