Yet again Amazon customer service opened AtoZ without customer asking

As in the title, customer called Amazon asking where the item was (it had been delivered already)

Amazon customer service opened an AtoZ without informing the customer

Customer is not happy that they did that, how can the customer rescind the AtoZ?

Amazon couldn't care less about it's sellers

Amazon filed an AtoZ on her behalf, she did not know this or authorise this.

I contacted the customer, resolved the matter amicably and quickly, customer knew nothing about an AtoZ, she took the time herself to contact Amazon and have the AtoZ retracted.

What did Amazon do? They still counted this as an AtoZ defect

Indeed - we've had one as well where the customer placed the order in May for two necklaces

Initially they returned one of the chains as it was too long - refunded

  • Now the one they kept has snapped. No way to open another return request as over 30 days, so clearly contacted amazon, who opened an A-Z, saw a refund had taken place already anyway and Granted the A-Z with no further refund and an ODR strike.
  • So now have a customer who hasn't been refunded anyway for the chain that is broken, we can't contact them at all as all we can do is offer a courtesy refund or send legal documents - so no-one is happy.
  • Basically, I'm awaiting the A-z to lose its appeal and then flag it on here to the mods so a grown up can look at it.

I get this is probably an outlier (alread partially returned order with second complaint) but I know that if the customer was easily able to contact us, we'd have quickly fixed this issue!
