Royal Mail tracked shipping

I am told now by Amazon that Royal Mail 24 Tracked shipping cannot meet the delivery times for my orders. After that having been the only option for Prime and Premium for years.

So now they will only let me choose Royal Mail 24 CRL untracked. If I use that which is the only option they are allowing on my orders, a few days later they notify me that I have not complied with the tracking rate. Well, I would if I could actually buy tracked mail.

So I decide to buy my shipping directly from Royal Mail to get my parcels sent tracked and they complain that I am not buying my shipping on Amazon.

They are just completely impossible to deal with.

Tbh, I’m surprised you are using RM for those at the moment, or even offering prime and premium

I know it is not going to help, but I would not currently rely on Tracked 24 for Prime or Premium (Neither would I rely on 24 CRL)

Orders I posted last Monday (28th), Tracked 24 most arrived Sunday (4th)!
I had upgraded standard tracked 48. I had also extended handling and postage times to cover.

I turned off Premium when the strikes began, if only using Royal Mail, I would not be chancing any service.

I think it only counts against your late delivery rate if they are recorded late. You shouldn’t be penalised for using the wrong service for prime only if it misses the target. It is therefore pointless spending it on tracked with Royal Mail, may as well chance your arm on CRL or use a premium courier such as APC.

For years , Amazon has been stating tracked 48 does not meet the delivery promise even on standard merchant fulfilled orders , yet states CRL standard 48 is ok

Does not make sense at all
However , I gave up Seller fulfilled prime about 18 months ago as I had had enough
also just had premium shipping turned off because Dpd tried to deliver twice , one on Sunday and again on Monday when the 2nd day shipping was estimated Tuesday, And the buyer believed they had paid for 2 day shiping so would not accept the parcel on Sunday or Monday.

Our first class signed for arrived today after days 10 days!. Many more have still not arrived.

Most my items are large letter so kinda stuck with RM, I have added an extra 5 days to delivery.

We will be closing our shop on Monday until after the Christmas holidays first time in 8+ years, it’s not worth the stress/ refunds/complaints. Sad times :frowning:

Other postal services are also delayed with the demand and not enought staff due to the RM fiasco.

If you know your item wont arrive in time and still promising customers unrealistic delivery dates be prepared for the complaints and refunds.

Take care all in this difficult time.

“To maintain eligibility in the Seller Fulfilled Prime program, you are required to have a minimum weekday pick-up time of 4:30 pm for all of your shipping services, which will set your order cut-off time to 4:00 pm.”

I set our pick-up time to 4:30pm (even though our actual pick-up time is around 5:30pm) to prevent us having to rush packing last minute orders.

However we also find that this prevents Amazon Shipping from allowing us to buy T24 shipping after 4:00 pm for orders that have to be shipped that day, even orders that we received earlier that day.

Maybe that setting has something to do with it Isla?

Just had a customer message saying item “delivered” yesterday but it wasn’t… Checked tracking… 1. It says it was delivered by the “parcel service” which is odd as it’s large letter… secondly it was delivered at 00.26 - Assuming Royal Mail are using 24 hour clock correctly, that would mean 26 minutes past midnight… am I correct in that? 12.26 in the afternoon would appear as that… 12.26…
