Auto returns - what a farce

A refund has been given for a 'returned' cd, £25 worth - I have not received said CD and the Royal Mail tracking says 'delivered' with a photo of an unknown commercial looking building way in the background - seems to be no way to contact the buyer via email - what options do I have to get the item, or get compensation for a lost item

According to amazons policies - if the order is lost by the courier, you are supposed to claim via Royal Mail.

Main issue is the labels are on amazons account, so you tend to hit a brick wall in your claim. Unfortunately, amazon have been zero help on this issue - simply stating 'our policy is that the courier is supposed to refund for lost parcels'

If you don't get anywhere, I imagine your would need to do a small claims court to amazon.

The question I would like to ask is if Royal Mail has not delivered to the correct location why isnt the claim being investigated by them?

If its the buy shipping then again it should be investigated by them. Register all claims for loss with the courier? Please bare in mind the limits for claim over £20.
