Amazon FBA Payments and Transactions
Hello All,
I’m a new Amazon FBA Seller and I’ve been having a lot of trouble understanding how the breakdown of costs and payments work for Amazon FBA. I’ve sole a few units now and my calculations of how much should be coming in from those orders are not adding up and I not sure who to speak to about this.
Specifically, the Net Proceeds are incorrect, a high amount has been withdrawn with no explanation called an “unavailable balance” and the sales revenue that should have been generated are far from what amazon is showing.
If anyone can help please let me know, I have emailed amazon directly but have not heard back yet.

If you go to reports - payments - transaction view
It has a list if each sale
If you click on the total amount - in blue - it opens up a new screen with the breakdown of the sale and costs incurred from fba referral and fulfilment fees
You possibly didn’t account for the vat on those fees as amazon don’t show that in their estimates
You will possibly also be paying £30 a month for your selling plan plus storage fees for your stock in fba centres and of course any advertising
The unavailable balance is your funds in reserve. Held for 7 days after the last EDD of each sale
These should be released frequently - as long as your bank account is verified

As per above, the unavailable balance isn’t a deduction - it’s just how much you have that isn’t currently available.
As for fees, VAT on the fees seems to be commonly overlooked by newer sellers. There are also potentially extra fees for non-UK sales.
