Customer refund after partial delivery - 4 Months after initial delivery
Four months after a customers order was reported to be delivered, they report that one item is actually missing, and that they want a partial refund.
I am unable to find any legal or contractual information on whats required either by UK or Amazon terms, but was under the impression that there is an expectation and a limitation on when this is required, and that the customer is obligated to report such an issue within a period of time or lose the right for a partial refund on the missing item.
Certainly its well outside our carriers policies for claiming on losses

Yes it is outside the usual window for reporting problems.
However, this is Amazon!
It depends on what type of “item missing” you are referring to, I suppose. Is it possible that the buyer could have just found that one item ordered was not included? Have they used some of the items, got to the bottom of the box or whatever, and realise one is missing?
If that is very unlikely then you can politely decline the partial refund. Would it be worth keeping a customer happy?
