Requesting Buyer Reviews - Does it make any difference?

Hello, as you probably know, you can manually send a review request on your sold products / orders.
I am just wondering if anyone know if this actually makes any difference to getting reviews or not?

Does Amazon send review requests for every order eventually anyway? Will pressing this button just speed up when the review request is sent?

After a lull in new reviews, I decided to try it out, but not 100% sure if I am just wasting my time or if it is having an effect.

Has anyone tested this out for longer? Or does anyone have any information on this?
