Amazon Lost part of my inventory and ignores me

Hello everyone,

If you had a similar case can you tell me how it went for you please.

I sent 8 parcels via UPS to Amazon in Germany, the parcels arrived and were signed by Amazon.

My inventory was partially credited, it is missing a lot of goods. I had to wait 30 days to create a case.

I created a case and provided the information requested by Amazon Germany.

Since I have no news, it’s been about 15 days. I sent 3 messages several days apart to ask for news.
Amazon does not answer me.

Advices ?

Due to the experience with amazon fulfillment, i have added a following line of advice in my will;

NEVER EVER…EVER…EVER send amazon your stock for fulfillment.

Hi DealDeal_

Sorry to hear about your FBA nightmare…

We are an FBM seller, and so have no experience with fulfillment issues, but I’m sure by the end of the day one of the experienced FBA sellers/forum members will get back to you with solid advice.

Hang in there…I hope all gets sorted soon

All the best

Surely the staff can’t be thieving, you’d think it’d have more checks and security than your average airport

If amazon lose your stock they must refund the goods to you as if you had sold it. They do say you need to wait for 30 days to give them a chance to find it .

If you still have no luck then email the CEO or get them to call you . Open a case via via your case log

We do sell hundreds of different product via FBA and not that long ago Amazon lost us a full shipping of over 700 products…
It took 2 months and email to JEFF BEZOS to get the reimbursement for all the lost products…

So maybe try that if you need

Jeff Bezos team came back to us and simply pushed a refund for the whole shipping for us.

And Yes, I agree with Annaa FBA generally is not the bad thing to us, and overall we’ve raised our sales by an extra 30% thanks to PRIME badge, that being said over last year we’ve had to open at least 60 cases with SS for lost products from shipping and usually we are reimbursed for the missing products within 48 hours (especially when they are missing 1 or 2 products from the 1000 product shipping) problem starts when they are missing a big chunk of product with a high total value, but once invoices are provided and tracking proved delivery and the total weight of the shipping matches with the paperwork, they are quick to either find the product or refund for the loss.

If you go the reimburse route do note - even if it succeeds you will only get the net value of the price Amazon thinks these items should be sold at, not price you wanted to sell them at and certainly not related to the price you bought them at.
Of course, if Amazon ever finds them a few months down the line they wil be able to sell them at full price.

And don’t even get me started on what they do with your stock after you are hit with fake authenticity complaints.

I had a whole shipment. around 2000 GBP worth of inventory lost by TNT during a removal.

I got reimbursed for it after roughly 75 days and with constant follow up.

I have had the most terrible time with Amazon UK. They have lost thousands of dollars of my stock over multiple shipments. One shipment of 1250 products they claim zero products arrived. We provided them all of the documentation even the copy of the received goods from Amazon. Every communication, they asked for something different, finally stretching out over 6 months, and then succinctly cut us off stating the case was closed because it was outside of six months.
Finally I gave them a 1 star rating for support and they called me. The amazon guy, even admitted he did not know what they are asking for all the different documentation AND stated there was an issue with stock going missing at one of the centres.
What can be done, do we call the police? Do we take legal action?
This never happens in any other country FBA.
I would advise not sending stock to the UK, their FBA team are crooks.
