Getting paid for EFN order
We have received an EFN order via amazon.fr. (according to seller support and also judging by the shipping charge that has been levied). Payment has come through in Euros and shows in our payment schedule again amazon.fr rather than amazon.co.uk.
SS France are insisting we need to open a French bank account to get paid. Is this correct?
We also know the order was taken in error as we have never been enrolled in EFN - we checked and French SS checked initially both agreed that was not the case. At that point the order had not been despatched and French SS says we should wait until it goes out and see what happens,
Later that day order was despatched and payment received. I re-opened the case only to get a different SS person who insisted that we WERE in EFN and we need to open a French bank account. I checked the EFN at that point and STRANGELY we were enrolled Hmmm - a bit fishy! so I disconnect it.

The order will be paid on the marketplace it was taken - so yes, you will be paid on .fr not .co.uk however you can use a regular UK bank as the deposit destination (same as .co.uk if you want).
Note, that Amazon will perform their own currency conversion from Euros to GBP (if remitted outside the EU it has to be in the receiving bank’s default currency, even if you have a multi-currency account).

Back in mid-May you may have received an email from Amazon alerting you that EFN was going to be enabled automatically and giving sellers a couple of weeks to opt out.
