Account Deactivation
Hello,
My account was deactivated a few days ago due to apparently putting the wrong legal entity.
I have put individual legal entity because that’s what i am so it doesn’t make sense that i should put that I am business.
So I have called them and explained that the option to change my entity wasnt showing when clicking on reactivate my account and they have told me that the issue is that they couldn’t verify my deposit method which is odd since they hve been sending my disbursement to the same bank account. So i have provided two times with my bank statement making sure it checked all the criteria they have asked and the verification is still saying failed which makes no sense because the reason they gave didnt match what I have sent them.
So now I dont know what to do because I have loads of products now that are saying stranded and my account isn’t active

Your forum name is Cs brothers Ltd
Are you a ltd or not ?
Your other threads say you are selling phone cases , presumably therefore you are a business

No I am not ltd, I just put a name i didn’t think that is the cause of the issue, from what amazon support has told me it is a bank statement issue.
But i am individual seller not a business and when i was setting up amazon I put individual entity

No I havent registered to HMRC, from the videos I have watched on youtube none of them indicate registering as a business if you are just an individual.
I have even spoken to amazon support and they have said the issue isn’t my entity it is the bank statement, which I have uploaded to them multiple times, with all the correct criteria but they keep failing the verification

Okay makes sense now I understand, so I need to register HMRC as sole trader or self-employed once thats done then I need change my entity on amazon to business is that correct?

The bank account has my name not CS Brothers ltd,
But on my amazon it has my own name

Thank you very much @The_Little_Shop and @JillyB1 for your as usual great posts! @CS_brothers_LTD1, hope that clears things for you and do let us know how you get on with verification. Also, I really do recommend that you go through Seller University. Of course, as seen on this thread, feel free to post away and ask questions!
