Hi, I got this email (below) about two weeks ago and I have carried out the instructions given. However, I only have one credit card and cannot replace this with another. I can't delete the current credit card details and then add the same one again either. It says my credit card is valid, which is surely proof of my identity, but still my account is inactive. Just about all the links I click on take me back to the same page and are not helpful at all. How do I get my account reactivated?

However, you will be temporarily unable to make updates to your listings or account settings. This action does not impact your account health.

We have taken this action due to an extended period of inactivity on your account. To protect your business, we have restricted changes to your account until we can verify your identity.

How do I verify my identity and reactivate my account?

To verify your identity and reactivate your selling account, please complete the credit card verification process. To complete the verification process:

1. In Seller Central, go to “Settings” and click “Account info”.

2. Under “Payment information”, select “Charge method”.

3. Click “Replace charge method” and add your credit card details.

It may take up to 48 hours for updates to your credit card information to show on your seller account. Once the information has been updated, your account will be reactivated and any restrictions will be removed.

I cannot close my account because it has been 'deactivated by Amazon as I do not have a VAT number. For over A YEAR I have been telling Amazon that I am not nor ever will be registered for VAT as 1. I am not required to register given my previous turnover and 2. I have closed the business!

Amazon support have been ABSOLUTELY USELESS in relation to this matter.

Basically, they have said that unless I provide a VAT registration number they will not reactivate my account. I cannot provide this!

So, how do I get my account reactivated, my inventory returned and my account closed???

Furthermore I am unable to remove my credit card from my account and they are still charging me for storing the inventory I want returned!!

I have NEVER dealt with a more unprofessional company than Amazon!

hi i was wondering could somebody please help, my account health went under 200 over the weekend and went into at risk of de activation since then i have fixed it and my account is back over 200 at 380 but my sales have hit rock bottom from 70 units a day to 3/4 now i am matching the buy box on 90% of my listings but i am not getting the buy box, from re search poor account health affects you getting the buy box but i have fixed my account health so im confused why it hasn't recovered im really worried, i was wondering if anybody else had this problem in the past and if so how long did it take to recover?
