Account Deactivated - Inaccurately being told another account is associated with mine

For many weeks now, I’ve been trying to have my seller account reactivated.

Amazon (through many, many automated email replies) keep stating that another account has been linked to mine. I have never set up or had access to any other Amazon seller accounts and have stated as much.

Amazon have not given me any reason as to why they think this account is me and they are not accepting my statements that it is not and that I think the association is in error.

I’ve appealed so many times and just get the same email back (and one of the options is to say “Confirmed that you have never owned a separate account and believe this deactivation was in error.”) How do I prove that this account is not mine? How does anyone provide proof that something DOESN’T belong to them?!

There is only myself and my husband in our business and no one else has access to our accounts so I can only guess that we have been hacked.

I’m honestly at my wits end with this and have also just received that the SIGNIFICANT FBA stock that we have will be returned to me. Which I absolutely do not have the means to store.

Any help would be appreciated because I don’t know what more I can say to Amazon.

have you asked for the name of the linked account ?

do you use any 3rd party fba prep or returns centres ?

In addition to the above, look at your listings in each marketplace and make sure you recognise them all. There have been a number of sellers who have found listings that aren’t theirs - Germany in particular was an issue. If someone has accessed your account for a short period they leave behind a trace that Amazon may find at some point as a link to another account.

Thanks for replying, @The_Little_Shop. The name is “Armadillo”, which is totally random to me.

We don’t use any other 3rd parties as we ship directly from our supplier.

this will happen if you have logged into your account from an ip address that someone else has used in the past or afterwards. never use shared internet to access your Amazon account. regards

Sometimes Ip address can also be one reason why Amazon claims that it is related to another selling account.

A lot of these problems could easily be avoided if Amazon actually did something with the money that they take from sellers and actually employ some people rather than relying on stupid bots to do all their work.
