Postage Credits Royal Mail price increases
The Royal Mail rate for a small parcel (<2kg) second class has now gone up to £3.10. When are Amazon going to increase the postage charge to customers which has been £2.80 for ages for small vendors? Small vendors can’t compete with the large vendors who get discounted fees etc, and are losing a minimum now of 30p per item (plus VAT) before other costs due to the postage discrepancy.

They won’t.
It has for a long time been a nominal credit towards postal costs and more often than not doesn’t reflect the true postal charge.
If you have a PRO account you can change your shipping settings / delivery charges.
Otherwise you will have to compensate by increasing the price of your item.

As Tracey says, they never will.
It has been that rate for all the time I’ve sold on Amazon - almost 14 years. I was Pro, but no longer am, as sales dropped so much.
I made a big loss yesterday on a book that went to the Netherlands - had had it listed for years and cost £7.00 to send, whereas before it would have been far less but… have made a little on a few LL size ones that cost less than the £2.80 - swings and roundabouts.
