Fix Inventory - FBA

We recently shipped stock to replenish FBA stock on approximately 13 listings. Three of these are now stuck in stranded inventory showing inventory error. When checking the details of each shipment, there is no error or problem showing. All three are shown as having been received in full although the details are not showing fully on where they are based in terms of warehouses.

I am at a loss as to what to do now - the option was not given to reconcile stock - supposedly because all received, but not sure what to do now.

Is it best to create removal orders for all three - waiting for a response from Amazon - will not hold my breath!

Stranded inventory help - Fulfilment By Amazon - Amazon Seller Forums This thread has no reply but they may have figured it out if you reply to them.

I’m pretty sure I saw another last week whom did a removal order & sent back in but had the same issue. I can’t find the thread though

We had similar recently but they didn’t show stranded but they were in-stock & active but not on the listing… it did sort itself out after a few days of panicking but I didn’t clock it right away so it could’ve been a while.

I currently have the same issue going on for a while now, seller supports best suggestion was this.

“In order to address issue with Inactive (Out of Stock) status on your “Inventory Amazon Fulfils”, please convert the ASIN to MFN, and then back to AFN and afterwards make the inbound the product.”

It didn’t work for me but might be worth a try for you. I have another case open so ill update you if anything works.

Shot in the dark are yours variations as well. Just looking at the details the variation type on mine seems to have changed to jersey type instead of style name, not noticed it before and the other variations are still working even ones sent and created at the same time. Could be completely unrelated sometimes they like to change my categories or attributes for no good reason.

Oh no, they suggested I try an inventory file as one of the products had moved to the wrong category so I uploaded it and now 4 more of the variations are stranded including my best selling product, this is going to hurt.

Got this response not sure what it means to be honest:

'Thank you for your patience.

You contacted Amazon about FBA inventory in reserved status for FNSKU. Find the investigation outcome below.

We understand how important this must be for you to run the business and we sincerely empathize with you. We will assist you with the concern.

Our internal team has updated us that, Units are currently in Pending Research in a virtual container. Once units have been physically located status will be set to sellable.

Also units are removed from the virtual container automatically after 72 hours If units are not located before and will be processed again.’

Sounds like non-sense to be honest.

Hi buddy sorry to here that. I have just had this response and it has FIXED MY LISTINGS! I’ll show you the message so you can do it yourself as well:

"To activate the asin’s please update these listing by uploading a Price & Quantity File, by updating the fulfillment channel.

To upload the file, follow these steps:

  1. Under Inventory on Seller Central, go to Add Products via Upload.
  2. Click on Upload your inventory file tab. In Upload File box, drag and drop the inventory file (You could click on Browse files instead).
    -When file is selected, the status bar will load from 0 to 100%, validating the file.
    -Note: Validation completed status does not finish the upload process.
    -Once file validation is complete, the File type is auto-detected for most cases, except for inventory loader and non-Amazon files.
    -If the File type is not auto-selected, use the drop-down to select your file type.
  3. Once you confirm all the information on the page, click on Upload file at the bottom of the page.

In the file for fulfilment-channel field: Use this field to specify the fulfilment channel (seller or Amazon) for your product.
-Amazon-fulfilled products: Enter “amazon” to specify that orders for the product will be fulfilled by Amazon.
*Do not use the “quantity” field when you enter “amazon” as your fulfilment channel.
If you provide a quantity for a product that is currently Amazon-fulfilled and leave the fulfilment-channel field empty, or enter the “default” value, your listing will be converted to a seller-fulfilled product or will go stranded.

Basically you need to fill in a price and quantity file Flat.File.PriceInventory.uk.xlsx (live.com), save it as a .txt and then upload it. If you need any help feel free to fire away.

Ah yes, I purchased stock to expand my collection of metal signs a while back but was gated with no way to apply, guessing the catalogue is filled with too many at the moment. Sold it off on another platform as there didn’t seem to be a way to sell them here, I now create the listings before I order stock to try and mitigate this issue.
