Ioss still showing on german fulfilled orders

Hi,
We are uk based. have uk vat and now German vat numbers. We have recently started fulfilling from Germany (Not fba) for the eu, and have five amazon eu pages set up.

Despite changing all the dispatch addresses to Germany in the shipping templates and seller information and putting the vat numbers on etc , our EU orders are still coming through showing IOSS. We have checked and double checked and can’t see why it thinks we are still sending from the uk.
We aren’t getting anywhere with seller case help.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Diane

@JR_Wristbands - how have sales and VAT worked for you in Germany?

I’m not familiar with it in particular and online information is a little sparse still. I found one article suggesting that overseas sellers storing goods in the EU and selling to customers in the EU fall under Marketplace Facilitator tax rules (even though they are locally VAT registered) and that Amazon are deemed to have made the sale to the customer, with Amazon buying from the seller as B2B?

  1. Marketplaces that facilitate Business-to-Consumer (B2C) intra-EU supplies of goods by non-EU businesses will be deemed to have received and supplied those goods. Specifically, the online platform will be deemed to receive the goods from the online seller in a B2B transaction and then supply the goods to the online buyer in a B2C transaction

So according to Amazon, after days of going back and forth:

“In order to help you further in this case, i would like to inform you that i have checked your order 306-xxxxxxxxxx-3179530, and would like to inform you that this is a domestic transaction (from the EU to the EU) and it is impacted by the EU VAT on E-Commerce (VOEC) legislation since your primary place of business is outside the EU.”

So despite the fact that the order clearly says ioss (which is for uk to eu orders), the correct vat amount and recording has been applied. I think it will be interesting when an order comes through for above 150 euro…
