Different Limited Companies, Same Directors

Hi All,

Need a little help please. We have two limited companies, both have the same directors as one has previously been bought out (hence two companies now). Both companies had their own seller accounts.

When the second company was bought, we stopped trading on their seller account and just let it die a death, we did not close it as it has some FBA stock lingering but we did not actively manage it. Its been this way for about 5 years. I have no idea as to the status of those accounts as logging into them is now an issue too (2FA is old etc).

About 3 weeks ago, Amazon suspended our actual account (the seller account we DO use and manage with great performance and sales of £1m+ a year) saying we are breaching the multiple accounts policy. They are not listening to anything about why we had two.

The key thing for us is that: 1) the other account is ‘owned’ by a different legal entity, even though it has the same directors, the actual account is ‘owned’ by the entity, not the people; and 2) just looking at it shows we have not used/logged into the other one for maybe years.

I’ve asked them to just close the other accounts but hitting a brick wall. Not sure what to do, especially as we have £100k of FBA stock that they now say they will destroy!

Does anyone know the how the multiple account policy works? Is it set to the companies legal entity as the owner (in which case Amazon is incorrectly applying this rule to us) or to the companies directors?

Any ideas?

Both companies require different logins, different bank accounts, can’t sell the same products or even in same category and most importantly, both must be in good standing - if one is suspended, both will be

Is there no chance of access to the first account as that’s the one you need to sort - presumably as its lay dormant, it’s missed verification checks

So has that account been incurring storage fees all that time? Could it also be that your charge method on that account is no longer valid and Amazon have suspended it as there is a debt?

Hello @BSS,

I understand that you are concerned about the relation complaint on your Account.

I would like to inform you that relation between two accounts are established after a thorough investigation.

Therefore, it is always advisable to work on the Primary account first and get it reactivated to get your current account active.

I would recommend to check the recent performance notification that you have received on the primary account and work accordingly to activate the same.

Once the primary account is activated, you can share the activation notification in your current account through appeal button and can also place a proper account closure request on primary account if you do not want to operate it further.

To understand more about our Multiple Account Policy, please go through our “Selling Policies and Seller Code of Conduct"

If you need any further assistance, you can post here so that we or any of the sellers on forum can help you.

Regards,
Amar
