TNT Courier

Hello

Does anyone know why amazon doesn’t class TNT express courier with a tracking number as a valid tracking type and brings it up on the VTR report.

These items are sent via TNT we give them the designation ‘EXPRESS’ and a tnt tracking code with 8 digits such as 71719025

but every month comes up on our vtr report and we can’t get rid of it :man_shrugging:

we send more and mor eof these items so our tracking rate is down at 70% and is constantly flagged for account deactivation

any help with TNT appreciated

They’ve never accepted TNT for us - another one of the eight hundred reasons I stopped selling Internationally with Amazon (we use TNT for overseas).

All our TNT tracking codes are 9 digits when sent overseas. We don’t use them in the UK but are you sure it is only 8?

It’s a bit of a strange one because TNT is now only a trading name of FedEx, which acquired TNT in 2016 and became fully integrated in 2021. What is even stranger is that Amazon used TNT during Covid to deliver Amazon removals (we had a few).

I literally thought I was going nuts as amazon simply quote VTR documents at you which we follow!

So guess there is no way around if you have to use TNT other than letting your tracking rate go low - being banned for a few days and reapplying for re-registration of your account and saying i’ll do better even though its your fault ?

we don’t have an account manager as we do about 30k a month on amz

we have to use our suppliers carrier for shipping which is tnt how do you get around it ?

oh yes… we’ve been down this rodeo a few times of ensuring tracking is in correctly ie TNT not tnt

then ensuring the service is correct ie express not next day

then the tracking number and finally we place tracking numbers in within 2 hrs of sale as we fell foul in the early days to as you describe adding tracking details after the order is delivered
