Read onlyI can see that the horror of GSPR is coming down the tracks. Does it apply to second hand books? I can't find anything to suggest that it doesn't...
But it will be impossible to comply. And to apply safety regulations to books is nonsenical (unless ideas are to be banned). Many of the 'manufacturers' (is that publishers or printers?) for example, no longer exist. How can their books then be labelled with their contact information?
And do I really need to fnd an EU-based resonsbile person? Responsible for what, when it comes to books?
My expectation is that this is a pending disaster for all sorts of sellers and we will have to stop selling to EU markets. Am I correct?
As a fellow bookseller, I stopped selling overseas when the whole Brexit thing took off. Postage costs too high for a start, and all the other requirements with selling abroad. I do still occasionally get an overseas order (bought from the UK site), which I will fulfil, but do sometimes just cancel and take the hit for a week on my pre-fulfilment cancellation rate.
Hello @Seller_PY4BLbgEg8w3Y,
