Read onlyWe're a producer of English Sparkling Wine, enrolled in Brand Registry, and approved to sell Beer & Wine on Amazon. However, when listing our wines, we discovered we also needed approval for the Grocery & Gourmet Food sub-category.
After a lot of back and forth with Amazon Seller Support, we thought the issues were resolved, but now we're stuck with vague “computer says no” responses and seem to be at a bit of a dead-end. To clarify, our labels comply with all Food Standards Agency regulations, as well as the more stringent Wine GB PDO requirements.
Following advice from the forums, we deleted our listing and started over, hoping for a fresh chance. But Amazon’s response was:
“We closed this case because you have submitted applications multiple times without providing new, updated, or required information. To appeal, reply with new documents. Do not submit a new application.”
We’ve asked for clarification but haven’t been given any specifics on what else we need to provide. As an English Sparkling Wine producer, we can’t sell anything we make without the Grocery sub-category approval, which would seem to be the end of us selling anything on Amazon.
Has anyone experienced this? What can we do when specifically told not to submit a new application? I’ve seen that @Ezra_Amazon and other moderators in the forums have been able to help in cases like ours.
Any insights or advice would be much appreciated.
Looks like you also buy from the main UK wine importers too, an invoice from one of them should get you ungated to the Grocery & Gourmet Food sub-category.
Unrelated question, as this looks like magic to me.
How do you see, easily, who the poster is? As in viewing their actual listings?
If trade secret, then I shall not play. Curious, but not excitedly so. Excitement not being my thing.
I don't know how to view someone's listings on Amazon from their store name either, unless of course they post an ASIN on the forum whereby it's easy to link through, some people seem to know how but it's voodoo to me too.
In this case I looked at the posters business name, found them on Google and had a nosey at their website published winelist.
If you put storename @ amazon in google should work
Off topic: Click on the avatar, then show store names, make a Google search and there is the Amazon store. After the product that store is listed, you can find more details about the business etc.
Hello @Seller_6u9mH8xFjIwM3,
Were you able to provide the updated documents since you last posted?
Let me know if I can help.
Regards, Spencer
Hi Quob Park, It's The General Wine Company here up in Petersfield :) Have you had any luck or have any tips. I've been uploading a different invoice from different suppliers with different products every time I get declined to sell in the Grocery section. Ive just been told that they are closing my case because I haven't uploaded anything new to them. Every application has a new version of Invoice, Supplier and Product. I just wish I could get a clear answer as to why I am being declined other than "Thank you for your application to sell Grocery & Gourmet Foods products. We have reviewed the documentation and information that you provided and determined that you are not eligible to sell Grocery & Gourmet Foods products."
