This sounds like a spam/advert for an accounting company.
You don’t need to take any actions based on it.

This is spam. HMRC do not contact anyone through any third party, also HMRC never correspond via email. The only emails you get are to say you have a message in their secure portal which you’d need to log into via HMRC’s website with your registered with HMRC log on info to see. Therefore if there are no messages in your HMRC gateway account, or if you do not have an HMRC account, you know it is bogus.

It’s not even written in proper English…
That’s clearly been written by a person with English as a second language.
Pretty sure that will end up in a phishing scam.

J&P Accountants have always looked after the accounts for a massive percentage of the Chinese VAT evading sellers on Amazon.

These guys are doing a pretty poor job , with trying to make their scam look legitimate .
Clearly you have no prior dealings with a firm by the name of J&P Accountants , or do you ?
If you do not , and I suspect that is the case , why in the World would HMRC send them any notification about you .
This is not just spam , but is potentially a scam too . Stay away from even corresponding with them . Block and delete them

Deal with it as advised. It is unlikely to be a scam.
J&P are your representatives here in the UK!
Do you not remember asking them to create your VAT number for you!!
