"Invoice by Amazon"
What’s everyone’s take on this new “Invoice by Amazon” concept in the newsfeed?
" Activate Invoice by Amazon and boost sales from large business customers
Did you know that large business customers typically prefer to buy products from a single supplier because it simplifies their accounting and reconciliation process? Invoice by Amazon gives business customers this experience, even when they buy from different Amazon sellers.
When you activate Invoice by Amazon, your offers are eligible to be bought and instantly re-sold by Amazon to business customers. When a customer places an order, Amazon becomes the invoice issuer, or “single supplier”, which helps you generate more sales from large business customers."
Do any pitfalls spring to mind that we should all be wary of? Would we have a reduction in control of returns from what we (FBM) have with with direct sales? Would our item (when “Amazon as seller”) be competing with ourselves (direct) on the ASIN, and would it be at the same price? Other things I haven’t thought of?..

That’s actually nothing new. It’s been that way for a long time and obviously, they have decided to give it a boost.
All it is, is Amazon invoicing your goods, instead of having to upload an invoice for every business order.

If you register for vat or vat exemption with Amazon they automatically do this anyway. It is a time saver and also stops you from getting dings on your account for forgetting one every now and then.
