Can we advise customers of better value purchases?
Hi,
I’ve just received an order from a customer who ordered 5 of the same item. I also offer a five pack of this same item which would have provided the customer with the same product but would have given them, much better value for money. In such cases, are we able to contact the customer and provide them with the Amazon link to the better value product? Or might this be construed as unauthorised contact or some form of advertising.
It’s purely to provide better service to the customer as we actually make more on them purchasing the 5 individual products.

You could send a link to the Amazon listing, as that is not driving him away from the site, or you could offer a partial refund to reflect the saving he could have made, or you could simply be pleased that he did not find the 5 pack but ordered individually.
In your case, as this could end up as a repeat customer [presumably] then the link or partial refund might be a good choice.

Ok thanks guys. Looks like partial refund and a link is the way to go
