Amazon US Consumer Act Verification
Hi,
Amazon US is asking for ‘Consumer Act Verification’ and requesting a Tax Identification Number along with supporting documents. I sent them my VAT certificate, but it was not accepted, and I am unsure about what documents I should be providing. I have asked them for clarification, but I have yet to receive a clear answer. I was wondering if anyone knows what specific documents I should be submitting for this?
Thank you

Are your business based in the UK?
If so, Amazon would specify what they require is the Unique Tax Reference number (UTR) when you complete the Tax Interview form. The supporting document would be communication from HMRC with the UTR number in the letter, and your company name matching the recipient name.

I asked my accountant to send me UTR document and he sent me VAT certificate? I already sent this to Amazon and it was rejected.
Is that the document or is it a totally different certificate?

Screen shot from HMRC website that shows UTR on it and VAT certificate worked. If i request the letter I’ve been told it would take two weeks to get, thankfully didn’t need one.
Thank you all for help.
