Cant use seller account

I have been trying to ‘reactivate’ my account for around 3 months, even though it has never been active in the first place, and everything I have submitted has been rejected. I want to set up a business selling items on Amazon, but due to completely useless customer service, and an unusable UI that takes you round in circles, I am about to give up.

I set up my account under the business name CJS Selections. When I log in to my amazon seller account in the login screen, I am listed as CJS Selections. Once I have logged in, my business name changes to C.J.S Selections and I don’t know why. To reactivate my account I need to provide a bank statement. My business bank account is under the name CJS Selections, which I cant change, so when I submit it for review it just gets rejected, which I assume is because the name doesn’t match the name on my amazon seller account (but I don’t know because they don’t provide any specific feedback which is really helpful). I cannot change the business name on my bank account, so can I change my amazon seller business name?
I can’t use Support because it says I cant while the account is deactivated. I cant even close the account because when I click on Close account it takes me back to the support menu. Every time I submit a case it gets rejected because ‘this is not the way to submit an appeal’. I finally got hold of someone on a chat and they said they couldn’t help me because they worked for Amazon Business not Seller central. Does anyone work for seller central? Do they even exist?

Also, are you registered with HMRC as self-employed sole-trader and have received your UTR ?
If not then that is your fist step.

You cannot close an inactive account - it must be fully verified and active before you can request to close.

Hello @C.J.S_Selections,

This is Wade from Amazon here to assist you today.

After carefully reading your post, I can understand that your concern is about reactivating the account.

Thank you for providing insight into your current account status.

When you are registering to begin your selling journey, it is requested to show proof of your own selling account store having its own integrity. To show that your store is adequately prepared to begin, we require documentation to verify the business and identity.

The verification of your identity is required by law. You must first authenticate your identity in accordance with UK regulations and laws.

To make these checks simpler, you could be asked to give us specified information or documents as considered necessary.

Thus, there are a couple of things to consider when submitting documents for review. please take a look at the submissions and review them using the Amazon Services Europe Business Solutions Agreement, to make sure your documents are meeting all the requirements we’re asking from you. The help page does a good job listing many things we look for in reviewing so make sure to compare your submissions completely with it.

Additionally, if you tried to submit a specific bill, say like a cellphone bill, and it did not have success again and again, you can try another utility bill to see if that meets the criteria and gets accepted. Make sure all info is matching from the bill to your account in amazon and all info is fully present; again, check help page mentioned above for full review checklist.

@The_Little_Shop we appreciate for your immense support and expertise in this matter.

The forums community and I are here to support you. Please let us know how we can help you from this point forward.

Thanks & Regards,
Wade.
