Amazon lost my item and they refunded customer from my balance

Amazon lost my item and they refunded customer from my balance

Hi sellers,
Just a quick one, a customer bought my item during a promotional period that i created and amazon sent the item elsewhere, they lost it apparently.
Customer messaged me yesterday saying that amazon delivered the item to a different address and that they’ve refunded him but he wanted to know if he can buy the item again using the old voucher (expired)
Anyway, my question is this. Amazon deducted the refund from my balance. why did they do that when it was them that lost the item? will i get reimbursed for it?
I reckon i should ask the question here because seller support will just send me on this interminable roundabout of pointless generic emails.
All my items are FBA by the way.

They always deduct the refund from the sellers balance, then after (I think) 45 days they reimburse you.
