How do I reopen a closed listing
Hi I closed a listing (my private label brand - I’m the only seller) because I have run out of stock and new stock won’t arrive for a couple of weeks. (I was advised to do this as when it is reopened apparently the Amazon algorithm remembers how well it was ranking before you went out of stock)
So I have 2 questions:
- It is still searchable within Amazon - I’d kind of assumed it would disappear …what does closing a listing actually do?
- Er …how do I reopen it? Yes I know I should probably have worked that one out before I closed it, I (stupidly) assumed that the ‘close listing’ option would change to an ‘open listing’ option. I have been selling on Amazon for nearly 2 years so there’s no excuse for my naivety!
Any advice appreciated. (laughing at my stupidity not appreciated but probably deserved)
Thanks in advance
Lottie

It should re-open when it’s re-stocked

You could restock your inventory with the quantity coming in (if this supplier can be trusted to deliver ontime) and adjust your delivery times to - a future date.

Thanks both - I’m not sure how to restock my inventory, always been FBA. I’m I right in thinking if I can still see the listing on Amazon then it’s not actually closed?
