Vat query on products
Hi. Just a quick question, I sell some coffee on amazon. My question is for some reason Amazon charge VAT on coffee sales but when I buy from the wholesalers they state that coffee is zero rated. Has Amazon made an error in categorising Coffee as vatable ? Alfie

You need to set your own product tax codes on your skus to set the vat rate - amazon won’t do it for you, it defaults to A_Gen_Standard which is 20%
Go to help and type in product tax codes and it will tell you the code you need to use
Note - if your PTCs are wrong, and you’ve been using the date range reports and the tax box to calculate vat on sales, your figures will be wrong
