Account problem with starting a company
Hi good day, firstly good sales. I opened a company in Turkey and I have been selling for 1 year, but I will close the company in 3 months and I am thinking of opening a company in England. Will this account be deleted because it is registered to a Turkish company? Or will I continue with this account because I will open a company on my own? Help me.

You need to take some advice from a UK accountant, certainly you cannot use an existing VAT number for starters as others have said, moreover be prepared for a potential long suspension if you try to add a second company to your seller account, and you intend to sell in the same categories, we went through this process a few years ago and ended up suspended for 8 months whilst this was resolved, they also held 90k of funds for over 120 days and both our companies were UK based, yours will be more complicated.

I don’t know the answer but I can think of a couple of things that may affect the answer:
Where are you based, in the UK or Turkey?
Will the new company be selling in the same category as the old one?

You possibly need to transfer the account
Note though, registering your company in uk rather than Turkey make have extra tax implications you may want to investigate - and still require vat registration if you choose to sell fba

VAT registration is unnecessary up to 85 thousand GBP in England, but I still have it thank you

Because you don’t live in England, you have to be vat registered to store stock there

When a company opens in England, there will be no such problem.

There will unless you have a premises in England that can hold and handle stock for you rather than just a virtual office somewhere.

I’m already selling it as my vat number and fba, it won’t be a problem. I just want them not to close my account, I’m trying to connect another company

Then make sure you check the tax rates here in uk for ltd companies

Remember if you change your legal entity you will need a new VAT number for that legal entity. You will have to apply in the name of the company that you set up in the UK.

Hi I will tell the accountant what you said thank you for your interest.

wrong. the op will be on resident director so will need to register for vat regardless of turnover.

If you’re in Turkey, why open a UK company?
Seller_NoMNQDGnEW5Bx
I’d suggest you get a UK accountant before doing any of those things
