Suddenly no Buy Box?

We have been selling a particular ASIN for over three years, which is well contested. We used to get around 25% of Buy Box when there were four competitors, 33% when there were 3 competitors, and so on. Sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less. We would sell about 100 units a month.
About two months ago, sales of the ASIN stopped. We have got 0% of the Buy Box since, despite being lowest price, and simply cannot move the product.
We have 100% positive feedback, and over 10,000 feedback comments. We get the amount of buy box we expect for other products in the same category (toys & games), and continue to sell them without any apparent slow down.
When I ask Amazon, all they will say is “there is an algorithm” and “no human interaction is involved”. I have asked what I can improve to change the situation, and have met a stone wall. No answer, no help.
Have other sellers found this? is there a “black list”? Is there anything i can do?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Mark

Are you FBA?
Do Amazon sell the product themselves?

Yeah I raised my prices and amazon responded by taking all my buy boxes despite me being to only seller.

This could happen as a consequence of another seller selling the product for a fraction of your price or due to a different reason.

When there are multiple sellers on a listing, it’s often dificult to determine why is the BuyBox given to the particular seller.

Thanks to all for the replies.
I think you have solved the mystery. Our inventory is in an FBA centre in France.
We took the decision in January to close our accounts in the rest of the EU. We are based in Northern Ireland, and buy much of our inventory from distributors in the Republic of Ireland. BAckstop or no backstop, Brexit or no Brexit, it seemed sensible to stop selling in Europe and increase our attention on the UK Amazon site.
So we sold out all the goods showing in France, Italy, Germany and Spain, and closed all the listings. Unfortunately, since we used to sell a lot of the Bath Sprudel product in France, Amazon moved our stock to an FBA centre there. It is the only item that has inventory there now.
But since we have no stock in the UK, you are right that delivery is slower and hence we get no buy box.
I have spoken to Seller Support to initiate a return of the stock to the UK, which will hopefully resolve the problem.
I will keep you posted on whether this resolves the buy box issue, but I am hopeful it will.
Thanks for all your contributions.
