Adjusting Prices for Different VAT Rates in International Sales on Amazon FBA
Hello,
I am selling on the German Amazon FBA market and I have encountered an issue regarding the differences in VAT rates between countries. I sell products (e.g., chips) applying the German VAT rate of 7%. Recently, I noticed that a customer from Finland purchased a product on which a VAT rate of 14% was applied.
I understand that VAT rates vary by country, but this situation results in additional costs on my side, which is not favorable for me. I am looking for a way to adjust prices for customers from countries where higher VAT rates apply, in order to cover these differences. I would like to avoid situations where differences in VAT rates negatively affect my margin.
Has anyone had similar experiences and could share how they dealt with this issue? Are there any settings in the seller panel or practices that would allow me to automatically adjust product prices for customers from different countries, taking into account local VAT rates?
I would be very grateful for any suggestions and advice.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi @Seller_kSWyXj4NGvyw0,
Thanks for posting on the German Seller Forum!
I am Jona from Amazon.
Just to clarify: you want to adjust the prices depending on VAT for different target stores, for e.g. DE vs. UK, or were you talking about price settings within the same store e.g. DE store and buyer address in Germany vs. DE store but buyer address outside of Germany?
Best,
Jona
