Customer complaint
Hi i have received a message from a customer saying something is missing in the box of a unit she bought from me. These units were untouched and bought straight from a wholesaler. Does anyone know how to go about resolving this issue?

Well that can happen.
Apologise profusely (even if you think the customer is trying it on) and ask the customer to make a return request. They will be issued with a prepaid label by Amazon. Once you have the goods back you can decide whether or not to take it up with your supplier

It’s very hard to state that the item was complete, I mean ‘what do you know’ , the package may have been mispacked by the supplier.
In these cases you need to take a choice, do you accept the fault may have happened and refund. Or do you think the customer is a ‘chancer’ and trying to defraud you. Either way you are going to have to refund the customer, Amazon are never going to side with you in this sort of case… Sometimes when a customer says the goods were, faulty, or ,not as described, If I think it’s a scam I insist the goods are returned.
I do understand that the insistence on a return achieves little. For example the customer will simply remove one part and return the goods. But at least they have been denied the goods, and if it is a scam they have failed.
Thing is - Is it worth the cost of return for your personal satisfaction.

So the thing that was missing was a cheap bottle of heat protectant spray so I’m just going to get one delivered to their house as I think it’ll be a lot easier. I’ve contacted my supplier asking for a refund as I have a feeling this product might have been pancaked wrong. I’ll see where it goes…
