If I change my name by Deed Poll, do I enter verification hell?
I’m thinking of changing my name by Deed Poll. If I do it, I will do it properly, and get a new passport and a new name on my bank account.
I’m just wondering if it would cause Verification Hell.
What would they be likely to ask for if I have to be verified again, but I might not have it. I can’t risk losing my Seller Account
(I don’t have much in the way of documents. ie. I have no utility bills. Some years ago, I wanted to get a Provisional Driving Licence but I had to get a Passport first, as I didn’t have enough appropriate documentation)

Why not, you’re a long standing and trusted seller. It’s also a perfectly legal thing to do, as long as you don’t change it to Amazon or Jeff Bezos I can’t see it being a problem.

I changed my name a few days ago and it went into verification for a few hours and I got approved without having to send any further info. Not sure if they checked companies house as proof, as I was rather surprised. I had my license, marriage certificate and bank statement ready. Maybe they’re too busy at the moment and I’ll be put back to verification when things ease down a bit.
