Barcode cannot be scanned
Hi folks.
I recently shipped a first order of a new product into a UK based FC and have received a shipment problem notification. 480 units were delivered but apparently the barcode cannot be scanned on 80 of the units.
Amazon have sent some pictures but to be honest the barcodes look fine.
Presumably several of you have encountered this problem before. I wondered what my options might be? I am aware that I can ask Amazon to apply the barcode labels themselves but presumably if I do this they will charge me for applying labels to all 480 (and any subsequent deliveries as well) as opposed to just the 80 that exhibit the problem.
I suspect that I could also ask Amazon to send me the units that are at fault, which I would either sell through other channels or fix them and send them back in, although this is not a desirable alternative. Has anyone been through this before and able to offer some advice?
I would raise a case but obviously that would be frustrating and ultimately useless.
Thanks

How did you find out that this was the case?
Normally, if it’s not something you have had before, the FC will actually contact you via a case and ask what to do with the units.
But if you only have a notification on the shipment, you might be struggling to get them relabelled.
All you can do in that case, is to contact support.

Seems a strange one, been FBA for 7 yrs or so & never had this error so not really much help.

Can you post the images you have been sent. If there is a problem, I should be able to tell you what it is. (a bit of a barcode geek!)

Sorry folks, a bug has prevented me from logging in for the last few hours. Does Amazon have anything that works?
I found out about the problem through a notification on my dashboard, I also received an email but it was pretty much useless. I would be very surprised if anyone from a FC were to actually call me. In my experience that would represent an unprecedented level of service from Amazon.
