Returns Royal Mail lables - Not Valid
Over past 2 weeks I have had quite a few messages that customers have opened return requests and been supplied with Royal Mail lables, (amazon system) and when dropping them off get told that they are not valid.
Has anyone had this issue and any ideas solution. Seems a bit odd!
Customers are very frustrated for obvious reasons

What exactly are they being told?
Is it possible that you have incorrect sizes/weights on the listings, so that they are getting a letter label, when it should be a parcel and so on?

I had this once with a customer. They kept insisting the return label Amazon provided was not accepted and kept demanding a refund as it was not their fault they could not return item.
I just kept telling them they must contact Amazon themselves if there was any problem with the returns label.
TBH I suspected it was just a scam.
But Yes, as Neil says it could also be that the item has incorrect weight/size on its listing as Ive had that too. In my case though the size was set too large so Amazon could not issue any returns label as they deemed it was oversized and too big for standard Evri/RM (it was just a hat so well under weight/size limits)

I have had this for the odd Label brought through Buy shipping. One i found by accident when i call RM for them to trace ( i was calling about something else and figured i would ask while on the phone)
They told me the label was invalid. Tracking website was recognising the delivery confirmation code (i can’t remember if i was getting the usual we’ll only update your parcel when we attempt to deliver or we can’t give you information on your parcel.
The said that you can’t claim for the labels as they were brought through Amazon, even though they get paid for through my linked account. I spent 45 mins going around in circles between the business team and C&D. They told me to contact Amazon but i never did as i wasn’t likely to get any further
These were RM48 labels not the tracked ones they use for returns
