Automated Handling Time - AGAIN
So 2 months after the last time, I get this email:
"We notice you handle your domestic MFN orders faster than your current settings. Your performance shows that you would benefit to enrol to Automated Handling Time. Therefore on 01/10/2024, we will enable Automated Handling Time on your account. No action is required from your side. You can deactivate it if you prefer to continue with manual Handling Time settings."
I cannot opt out, I have to wait until they set it onto auto, before turning it off. Looks like I have to saty up that night to see when it changes to change it back, so I do not get the same day dispatch on all of our orders!
I really have got better things to do that keep toggling this and that. Just leave it alone!
I suspect on the 1st there will be a wave of posts anout same day dispatches again.

Yes, I had the same email and the exact same thoughts.

Can you please get your tech team to allow sellers to 'opt out' BEFORE the start date?
Thanks

Or better yet allow sellers to opt in only if they want it.
There might be many reasons why a seller has a longer handling time than they are currently shipping with.
By all means notify them they are exceeding their settings but do not change them for them.

Yes, we received the same email, with no option to opt out until after automated handling is imposed. As already mentioned by another seller, we should have the option to opt out before the start date.
This is the second time in recent months we have received notice of this; we really should have the option to sign up for it, not to have opt out after the event.
I remember last time this happened numerous sellers had missed the email notification and didn't realise what had happened until orders were coming in that they could not fulfil in time.

Exactly my reasons for extending handling times. Estimates from Amazon are often way off, so this is our way of creating a buffer. Plus when/if the customer gets is sooner than expected (most do), it creates a positive experience.
Most of ours do leave the same day, but I have no intention of making that a promise to keep, for many reasons similar to your your own, but mainly because Amazon customer are unrealistic so the extra day or 2 is really needed.

Has your Automated Handling Time been switched on yet? I had same message so set alarm to make sure i was at laptop to switch off at midnight but its never been activated. Tried periodically til was too tired and switched holiday mode on incase it happened before i was back online.
Its now mid afternoon and nothing. If they've cancelled automatcially changing great , but let the sellers that have been told whats happening

ALL SELLERS who were following this thread....The Automated Handling time has now kicked in as of today!
I've just edited mine,
Seller_HwaQlgFnhSuGS
And today yet another hoop.
Now Amazon have have sent an email stating they are going to update the courier handling time in your standard shipping template if they see the courier is delivering quicker/slower than the current estimate.
But get this....
- No date.... just that it will be done in the coming weeks
- You cannot opt out
- Christmas is coming so delays are inevitable, so more failed delivery promises and customer freebies
- This is the best one, even after they change the dates, "You are, however, responsible for safeguarding the accuracy of your transit time settings in the future. "
And they do not even have the decency to call us by our names. We are not even a number!
