Scammy buyer. .

i need your help i dont know what to do i never been in this situation as a seller on amazon
- Few days ago the buyer requested for return i accepted (reason was fake item …)
- Today he opened the claim and type
“Fake item. Seller has agrees to refund but wants the customer to pay for the return.” - my items are not fake
i just check his package in tracking system and i see that he still didnt receive package so how can he complain that my items are fakes?
item is still in transit
i do not know how to respond in claim because this is 100% scam from buyers side he still dont receive item and complaining that my item is fake , and i am also worried if i will win claim that he place negative feedback or something else …

What was the item?
Do you have INVOICES from an authorized supplier and do you have permission from the rights holder to sell this item on Amazon?
Anyone can claim fake, the important thing is whether you have your ducks in a row to fight such an accusation.

What is the claim title? Does it say “Package didn’t arrive” or “Damaged or defective item”?
If it’s the second option, did you authorise the buyer’s return? With a return address in the buyer’s marketplace?
If yes, respond to the claim like this:
“Hello, the order was shipped to the buyer on (date) with tracking number (xxxxx) by carrier (carrier name). The item which I shipped was exactly as described in the listing. According to the order’s tracking information, the item was not delivered yet, however the buyer is already claiming that the item is not as described. A return was requested on (date) and authorised immediately. I will issue a refund as soon as I receive the item back.”
