Can't convert variants to FBA

Hi everyone,

I’m having a problem converting some variants to FBA. I did the usual - went to edit my existing FBA listing by selecting edit, added new variants, when they appeared in my inventory I selected the new variants and clicked through the ‘Convert to Fulfilled by Amazon’ steps from the Action selections. I did this a few times and it didn’t work, so I contacted Amazon.

They replied but I can make no sense of it! Please could someone explain what they are saying in layman’s terms?

Hello from Amazon Selling Partner Support,

We understand that you are having issues with converting ASIN ********, *********, ******** .

We have thoroughly investigated and found why the listings are not showing as FBA. The fulfillment channel saved in the system is DEFAULT which is incorrect. You have to store the information AMAZON_EU_RAFN under Fulfillment Channel Code.

You would have to update the offer with this stock file and the upload so that only AMAZON_EU_RAFN is stored with us.
This will make the listings FBA

Note that the process can take 24 hours.

Kindly submit a fulfillment channel switch Feed to remove the incorrect channel. You need to submit partial update feed and mention the correct channel "AMAZON_EU_RAFN" as in the feed to remove the other exchange.

I’m really not sure what they are on about and have never had an issue with this before. I also avoid using any feed files as I find the tools in Seller Central much easier for uploading and editing our relatively small inventory.

Any advice would be great! Thanks

Sadly, it’s a common issue. We also have the same problem when converting FBA back to FBM.

Although not ideal for you, we found the easiest solution to be simply upload a feed via spreadsheet.

Once you get the hang of it it’s relatively painless.

Have you tried to simply delete and recreate the SKU? Keeping the same SKU number.
That may fix it, without all of the messing about with files.

Seller support are notorious for these kind of answers. More often than not, is a field that you can’t flaming update anyway.

Also try 'add another condition ’ instead from the editing options on the right hand side of the sku in your inventory
