Business Customer Purchases
I have had a few sales where there is a small highlighted box that appears stating Business Customer. Am I supposed to do something with this or is it just a general information thing? Also, is there a way of finding out what the ‘business customer’ sells to view their shop and see whether it is a potential competitor?
In addition, there have been instances i have seen, in responses to peoples posts, where you lovely lot have come back stating “i have had a look at your store…”, or “it appears you are based in the ‘x country’ etc. Is there a way to view the information of others, (mainly because some responses I think 'you know what you’re talking about, I’d like to see how your shop is set up etc” or is just because you are all super sleuths who know how to weed out the non genuine users?

You are required to upload either a VAT invoice or a receipt.
In terms of working out who they are, you have their info from your order. They may not have a shop - could be an accountant ordering staples, a vets ordering a printer etc etc
As for finding out a forum user’s store, a lot of sellers here use their store name as their forum name - so not much sleuthing required really.

Yes, you do have to do something. You have to upload an invoice/receipt, and this is a new metric that you are measured on.

If you are not VAT registered you can declare yourself exempt and Amazon will upload a receipt for you automatically for any future orders from Business customers.
If you have previous orders you will need to create an invoice/receipt and upload that to the order.
If you need to do that, then many of us used www.invoice-genrator.com until we were able to get it done automatically.
Business Customers are not necessarily other sellers - they may be purchasing items for their workplace.
As I sell books, I often have orders from schools or colleges etc, and they are marked as business customers.

Thank you for your responses.
So I went into the order and clicked ‘manage invoices’ and it gave me the following text; Amazon will create invoices on your behalf for this order after shipment. You can download these invoices below as soon as they are available. Does this mean I have opted into automatic invoicing and do not need to do anything further?
Thank you for clarifying that ‘business seller’ is not refined to just Amazon sellers, more the wider world of business sellers.
After reading this, I have just put myself into the customer shoes position and my own personal experience when i am buying things for the business and, of course, I would require the purchase to have a VAT invoice
