"pay by invoice" is really starting to annoy me
I don’t understand how it’s legal for amazon to force us to give out credit for amazon, at our own expense.
It’s not a lot, but on my account the germans are going crazy with it this month and I have 9 orders that I won’t get paid for until June. I can easily handle the cash flow issue involved, but that is not the point.
Normally I don’t mind so much, as these aren’t expensive items, and I don’t usually get too many of them, but it just really really irks me that I’m posting all these things out with no pay for 2 months. I would never offer that service voluntarily. But what REALLY pushed me over the edge is that next to these unpaid orders, there is now an advert for a service called “cashboost from Arvato”. It’s an offer for CREDIT to cover all the late payments!!!
How is this POSSIBLY legal??? They force us to give out amazon credit at our own expense, AND THEN they advertise a third party service for us to take out our own credit to cover the losses!!! Is this not a conflict of interest??? This should absolutely be illegal if it’s not already.

And imagine, that there are sellers who have to wait weeks or months to receive each of their payments - I am talking about those registered after August 2016, who have the “Payments Based On Delivery Disbursement Schedule”.
Since this is their site, it’s for Amazon to decide the conditions and you need to accept them if you want to continue selling here.

At first they were giving 30 days credit. It seems now to be six weeks.
I have an item purchased on 21 May in Germany. Payment due on 5 July.
This is too long. My trade suppliers only give me 30 days and that is only if I buy a large amount of stock.
The first of these ‘business purchases’ that I received was from L’Oreal. I was forced to give a loan of £20 to a mega business when I seem to always be struggling!
Some of the ideas Amazon come up with are not workable but they just go ahead and enforce them anyway.
Nothing I say can have any effect on these privateers. I’ll just have to bear it but I won’t be grinning.

This is cynical even by Amazon’s standards.

Where is Amazon taking itself to? There is a limit to everything and I mean everything.

Is there a way to find out which invoices are still outstanding?

We are also business sellers but when we buy we pay instantly on amazon uk. How come business customers get 30 day credit from us. Why don’t we get while buying?. Any idea?.
