This usually means one of the following: a) The card is not accepted (eg a prepaid credit card b) There are not enough funds in the account to begin with. You should aim to have a minimum of £5 available balance c) The details of the account do not not match those on the card. You may need to replace the card with an alternative.

Hi Kingdom

Suggest you also double-check the details you entered for your card on Amazon - common errors are transposing 2 digits, entering wrong year etc.
