Recharge customer for refunded order
Hi,
Hope someone can help. We refunded one of the order which seemed was lost in transit but it has just been received today by the customer and he has agreed that parcel has been received and he is ok to get charged. Please advise how can I charge the customer again for the order already been refunded?
Kind regards

You can’t charge them again, the official policy is for them to contact Customer Service and ask for their card to be recharged.
Some sellers would say an alternative way is for them to make the same purchase again and for you to just mark it as shipped.

Yes, as Demel says, you cannot recharge them.
They need to contact Customer services, but there have been lots of reports on here where the customer has done that, given consent for their card to be charged, but the seller has never actually seen the refund in their account !
The alternative way is not without its pitfalls !

which is the best number for the customer to ring amazon or email address to get recharged?

You could advise the customer to contact Amazon customer services on 0800 27907234 to recharge the account or alternatively ask them to purchase again and you can mark the order as dispatched.

Thank you guys for your suggestions and help. Is there any email address where customer can email as customer has messaged that I would lime to pay and keep the order and still we can’t do anything?

If it is not an expensive item I would not bother. Some time ago someone has posted the screenshot from the buyer that CS encouraged them to not pay again. If it is just a few pounds I would ask them to donate to a charity.

Our last experience of this situation, the buyer was apparently told by CS that they didn’t have to pay and they didn’t need to return it either as they have been refunded.

Hi did you get anywhere with this request? Im in the same situation, customer agreed keeping item even after confirming they wanted refund and no longer needed before it arrived due to xmas delays in post have tracking confirmed arrived and customer advising keeping item surely then amazon should be refunding or making it right?
