Read onlyWhile preparing our monthly reports for our accountant, we observed a discrepancy in the sales data for the period from 20th September to 26th September. According to the transaction report we downloaded, there are only 3 sales and 5 refunds recorded for these six days. However, our actual order volume, including both merchant fulfilled and FBA orders, exceeds 1000 during this timeframe.
As a result, our payout for this period appears significantly lower than expected. We are aware of the DD+7 scheme and can see it reflected in the reports page, but the missing sales for this specific week remain unexplained.
Has anyone experienced or heard of any similar issues regarding missing sales data?
We have exactly the same problem, with sales from the 18th - 26th, we have absolutley no sales recorded on our monthly reports. We have contacted Amazon and as yet have received no response.
It seems we were put onto dd+7 around the same time. I have looked today for a report that tells us when deffered payments were made, all I can see the the deffered tab where current deffered payments are.
This is a result of the DD+7 changes and the use of deferred transactions.
Sales now go into the deferred list for 8+ days before moving to the released list. The date column, in the released transaction list, is now the date the order goes from deferred to released. This makes it a bit difficult to track orders through the process.
As a result, the date column, in the "all transaction statuses" view, means different things depending on the status: Sale date for deferred transactions and date released for released transactions.
This has resulted in everything shifting forward by a week or so, and the September figures looking about 7 days short,
We had 13 sales unaccounted for in this period about £3k. The Transaction reports, disbursement reports and deferred payment don't match up. I keep getting told the appropriate team is looking into it, but with no evidence that this is actually happening.
Hello! @Seller_32MphwRt4pURK
This is Roberto. Thank you for using the Forums.
Apologies for the delay on getting back to you. As noted @Seller_ExO2KKCwIDvij the discrepancy you are seeing may be the result of the deferred transactions report.
I know this change is difficult to navigate as the new sales are now showing in the deferred transactions report before moving to released status, which could cause a gap of +7 days in your reporting figures.
These updates were made to create more Transparency on DD+7 reserves to the seller. Previously, selling partners saw a lump-sum withholding of reserved funds as ‘Account-Level Reserves’ on their Payments Dashboard and Reports. With this update, sellers see a transaction-level payment status, with ‘deferred’ status indicating that funds from that transaction are reserved, and ‘released’ status indicating funds are available for disbursement.
Please check the updated Help Page for further information:
What is a deferred transaction? Or refer to the Seller News announcement View your reserved payments in the new Deferred Transactions report' published on 04 Oct, 2024.
Thank you for your understanding,
Roberto
Hi there, have you found a solution to this issue?
We have the same problem, accounting for £1000s of sales and the deferment report only shows 11 orders have been deferred which is a drop in the ocean! Would be brilliant to know if anyone has managed to locate this info for 20th-26th September. Financial director is having kittens!
I think we have worked it out! Best to show an example
So order was Purchased on 21st Sep/ Shipped on 23rd Sep/ Delivered Wed, 25 Sep
This payment was released to us on 2nd October which fell into our settlement period/payout dates of 26/09 - 10/10 so it does seem like the DD+7 is to blame for this.
The “Missing Sales “ do exist just not on the spreadsheet they should off appeared on due the change of dates. It’s hard to work out the pattern of when orders will payout but I guess that’s something we will need to work out as we go.
