Stranded Inventory
Hi All,
It’s been 2 years (time flies!), I started selling on Amazon and for the first time I faced stranded FBA inventory. I sell branded products buying from either Manufacturer or Wholesalers/Distributors in UK. Suddenly, last week found that a FBA listing inactive and inventory stranded. I checked no customer complaint (Voice of Customer), no account health issue, no brand issue. So, I contacted seller support few times, followed their steps…like check all possibility, try to add new listing but failed. Finally, they are saying they stopped accepting new selling application for the product.
I haven’t faced this kind of issue before and surprised the way suddenly without any explanation one listing and application for the listing can be disabled. Obviously, Amazon has full right to change anything anytime. But, as a seller, at least we need to know. Now, my large FBA stock stranded as just recently sent stock. Now, to remove the stock, It will cost me which was easily avoidable if I get notification in advance or reason to rectify.
Also, seller support team saying at the moment, which may mean they will allow in future…I am afraid, I remove the stock, then later found it is allowing selling again…
Has anyone face similar issue ? any advice what should I do ?
Thanks in advance !

Does it show as blocked in the catalogue for you ?
Have you checked your responsible person dashboard just in case

In the Catalogue, showing “Not Available” and " This product has other listing limitations. Sorry, the ability to create a listing for this item is restricted."
Sorry, what do you mean by responsible person dashboard ? I am the only user of the account (ltd company).

I have had this in the past. I had a well known football team which suddenly required approval and was told they were not accepting new applications. Waited a couple of weeks and I could apply…so sometimes you just need to wait a little.
Maybe give it a couple of weeks. It will make no difference if you return the stock now or in 2 weeks time (apart from storage costs). Just keep an eye on the automated date for removal of your stranded stock…you can increase this.
