Amazon has removed 1000's of products from the Toys & Games section
So over the past couple of months, sellers have been getting hit with ‘‘Suspected Intellectual Property Violations’’ and instantly removing the item in question. We eventually figured that the ‘‘Brand’’ was inputted incorrectly. e.g ‘‘Funko marvel avengers thanos’’, someone put ‘‘Marvel’’ instead of ‘‘Funko’’
Problem is, when trying to fix this with amazon, they are so confused themselves that they have no way to fix it. The only way is to force attempt a change to the brand over and over until someone at amazon accepts it.
Amazon, you’re the biggest ecommerce company in the world, and yet you cannot even handle basic tasks. Do we have to wait until you see a large drop in sales in the Toys & games section until you figure this out ?
There’s new products being released, but were unable to sell them because you remove them.

This whole “Suspected Intellectual Property Violations” system is out of control, we have many products flagged, when they have correct brand information.
Seller Support seemingly will not help unless you have a letter of authorisation from the brand owner, Invoices are not accepted. Since the relationship is between the brand and the supplier, then this becomes impossible for sellers to provide this information.
This whole situation must be affecting many sellers, yet I don’t see much reporting of this on the forum

I’m only a small seller so was shocked to find by chance the other day a “Suspected Intellectual Property violation” in my metrics - do these affect your metrics or records in any way?
And I was told by SS not to worry, it will go - but when, after 180 days?

You can fix the listings by removing the “infringing” brand in brackets from the title and placing it into the “Brand” field.

I have had most of my Sony PS3 games removed because the listings (probably created by Amazon) have Sony PS3 in the title. I have been told I am not allowed to use the word Sony when saying a game is for the Sony PS3.

I am having big issues with this particularly with Paw Patrol and Peppa Pig - provided license agreement between manufacturer and rights owners, letters to say we are an authorised retailer… latest reply from Amazon
“Peppa Pig has not sent a letter confirming they are authorising you to sell their items,!”… tried to explain that Peppa Pig is a cartoon character and that the license holder is Eone….but not getting anywhere fast.
Thousands of pounds of lines stuck not on sale (funilly enough only in UK, Europe seem fine), but cannot send them to FBA either.
Major PITA as they have removed the page detail completely on some, and on others just taken it off sale so customers can still see the page.

Arse & elbow - they really have not got a clue, the catalogue is such a mess,
they have removed 38 of my items in the last 4 days

I can’t edit it anymore because at the time I immediately deleted the listing.
So it seems the ‘suspected violation’ is there to stay in my performance page (or at least for 180 days?)?

Thanks, Kika. But so, it’s not something I should worry much about, which really reflects badly on my shop to Amazon?
…Or maybe it’s a question of number - not getting too many of them?

Currently it says, Amazon do not use these against you (apparently), they serve as a warning of a potential violation (apparently).
