Amazon consultants wanted
Hi,
I would like a Amazon consultant to come to my unit to sit down and go through the many issues that I have with Amazon. I don’t want to talk over the phone or through e-mail. I actually want to sit near someone and talk. We are based in Doncaster and would appreciate any advice in this matter.

I totally understand what you would like. the problem i can see is as Amazon changes its goal posts weekly what the Consultant tells you this week could well be obsolete the next week, and so on. Amazon can be a steep learning curve all the time.
Have you thought about trying to employee someone to run the amazon side of the business for you. maybe on a commission based wage. Then you can have someone who can keep up to date with current and ongoing changes that will be inevitable

There are loads of Amazon consultants knocking about that will help for a fee. I had a job interview a few weeks ago for a small business who wanted to expand online. They told me they had loads of applications from Amazon “experts”. Almost all of them said they currently help to manage multiple stores and could take them from zero to several thousands per month but all of them wanted to work remotely. None of them got an interview.
You main issue will be getting someone who wants to travel to you. You could try putting a temporary job up on something like Indeed.

Difficult one really and I guess the more you get into it, the more you realise the value of Amazon.
The main issue is that anybody who is actually good at this sort of thing is busy doing it for themselves. I once had someone who worked for me on another marketplace. They got really good and used my suppliers to set up their own sly account. Once it started getting good, they then started their own company doing the same thing and became competition, they could also potentially wipe you out, even sabotaging you by upping your prices and undercutting etc.
Read seller university and you will not go far wrong and be wary of all these so called experts on Amazon. From time to time Amazon do offer account handlers to assist in developing advertising campaigns and fba opportunities and it is worth taking them up on it.
Come onto the forums regularly and you will pick up lots of little tips and realise that you are not alone in this huge minefield.

I tried an Amazon consutant - turned out to be an A grade bulls*****r. Most of the complex issues they are no more capable than we were of resolving everything else was easily done. They tried to write some script for products it was garbage. They also wanted to do some ppc through Amazon which is pretty easy anyway. I was forced to (continue) do it all myself - which is what I was doing anyway. Generally the issue is just poor seller support nothing much can be done about that except stick at it and learn as you go.

I understand what you need. A seller to sit with you for a few days/week etc and go over all the pitfalls and a health check on your account. How to clear certain violations etc.
If you were closer I would be up for it. But Doncaster is way too far.

If I understand you correctly, I may try to help. I can’t promise much, but I am located not too far from you, about 1 hour drive. I am talking about one long visit to help you sort things, establish priorities, help with what’s most important and maybe that even may be enough for the first step.
I am not as commercially gifted as I wish I was, neither an expert in Amazon (like The_Little_Shop, he/she is a great person, super active here), but I do understand most core things, watched all the videos and managed to establish profits for myself. I have got a financial consulting background, so listening and understanding problems is something I can definitely offer, plus my analytical skills.
If you still need someone and can’t find what you are looking for, I can come with my dad (we run our business together). We enjoy a ride through Peak District occasionally, and I will spend several hours (even a day maybe) with you, If needed, maybe I will take some homework home. I will do it for free, of course so hope we will find a good balance of time I spend on that, but I will do my best to help.
